Darrell G. Seki, Sr. is the Tribal Chairman and former Tribal Treasurer of Red Lake Nation.
He was born in Red Lake, Minnesota. Raised by his grandparents, he spent the majority of his life in the culturally rich village of Ponemah.
He graduated from Red Lake High School with honors, and received an Associate Degree in Junior Accounting from Rasmussen College, as well as two years of study at the University of Minnesota. Seki is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He has worked for Red Lake Nation in various capacities for 40 years, including as Executive Administrator.
Elected Treasurer of the Red Lake Tribal Council in 2002, he remained in that position until his election as Tribal Chairman. Darrell is also one of the longest-serving members of the Tribal Interior Budget Council, and has represented the Midwest Region for more than ten years.
He has been happily married for 40 years.
Donald Cook, Sr. is the Secretary of Red Lake Nation. He was elected to the position in 2010. Prior to that, Cook served as a legal representative for individuals within the Tribal Court system.
Annette Johnson is the Red Lake Nation treasurer — elected in 2014.Over the course of the past several years, Annette
has served the Tribe in a variety of capacities, including Chief Financial Officer of Red Lake Gaming Enterprises from
2011 to 2014.
Before that, she was the Assistant Financial Director for the Tribe. She began her career as an accountant/senior accountant for the Tribe in 2005.
Annette graduated from Bemidji State University in 1998 with a degree in accounting. In 2013, she completed her Masters of Tribal Administration and Governance.
